    Is there any compile step with Visual Studio? I failed to execute make with the described steps.

    I don’t know for sure. I suspect you can do something like the following.

    • Configure the makefile to use C++ from visual studio (I think it’s mentioned in the README.txt)
    • Use the makefile at the command line in the visual studio command shell
    • Create a new project, and copy all of the fixtures directory into it
    • Add an include and lib directory and add libCSlim.lib (or whatever it is called)

    I’m going to try this next using Eclipse and the CDT. I have visual studio, but it’s low on my list of things to work on. I’m teaching our Writing Automated Acceptance Tests classes in 2 weeks, I think in C++. This is the first time we’ll be doing that combination, so I’m working towards that deadline.

    Hi there,

    I spent a few hours trying to get cslim to compile in Visual… no chances. Then I did the ctgwin stuff, and managed to have it up & running with FitNesse :) But then my production code is windows, so I eventually pulled cslim off. I have been using CppUTest with visual and it is part of my build, and I am quite happy with that. Brett, I am really interested in your finds with cslim under visual !!

    I’ll probably give it a try. It requires VS 2010, because it appears that 2008’s support for some of the modern stuff is lacking…

    So I’m going to get an MSDN subscription and get VS 2010 (it’ll be less than the upgrade cost).

    I would have done it this week, but I was at a hotel with slow internet, so I would not be able to download it anyway.
