Please pronounce your variable names as words, even if they are merely abbreviations. The phonemes indicated by your spelling may correspond to an existing word with an entrenched meaning. It may be one that you do not intend to communicate.

I do, however the nature of this problem is that the particular spellings tend to be either obscenities, profanities, or racial/national slurs. The whole point of the post is that we don’t want to include those accidentally in our code. Even some non-epithetical phrases can be unfortunate in context of certain calls like “kill” or “spawn” or “fork” or the like.
Language creates difficulties.
